After spending years caring for individuals from all walks of life and studying the disparities in childbirth, Brandi acquired a unique passion and forged a mission to educate and empower families who are entering their pregnancy journey. She wanted to create a space and products that flow with it.
“BRANCH MUM” is a fit-for-purpose brand founded by Bahamian-American Labor and Delivery, Master prepared Nurse in Midwifery, US Air Force Nurse, and mother of 5, Brandi Simms. She also holds a certification in Doula (DONA), Childbirth Education (CAPPA) and Sex Education (ISEE). Her passion and experience within the birth spaces and beyond earned her the 2023 Florence Nightingale Medal. The highest award a nurse can receive in their career.

Brandi feels like a part of that is not only because of racial/ethinc disparity but due to stress and families not being fully equipped with the tools to completely advocate for themselves so that their voices and needs are addressed appropriately.
As a survivor of birth trauma, mental and physical abuse. She forged a mission to create a platform that emphases reducing stress and advocating for any and all ethnicities and backgrounds.
